HCC in the State for collaborative interaction for the benefit of Trade & Industry with the Government said Sri Dr. T.R.B Rajaa, Honourable Minister for Industries & Mr. Ramesh Dugar – Chairman & MD Dugar Finance elected as the 80th President of Hindustan Chamber of Commerce.
79th Annual Session
The 79th Annual Session was presided over by Sri Dr. T.R.B Rajaa, Honourable Minister for Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu as its Chief Guest launched the 80th year long celebrations by releasing its Logo and who in his address, emphasized the importance of Chambers like HCC in the State for collaborative interaction for the benefit of Trade & Industry with the Government. He assured his support to the Trade Bodies for the betterment of the State.
80th President of HCC
Mr. Ramesh Dugar – Chairman & Managing Director – Dugar Finance & Investments Ltd, has been unanimously elected as the 80th President of Hindustan Chamber of Commerce for the year 2025-26 at the Annual General Meeting held on 29th September 2025 at Chennai.
Ramesh Dugar, President, HCC said, “I wish to see our motto ‘Progress Through Enterprise’ is carried forward through action. During the previous year, Udhayam was introduced and this is a platform to exchange business ideas. I call upon new gen entrepreneurs to share the challenges they face and success stories.”
Minister’s Address
Thiru Dr. T.R.B Rajaa, Minister of Industries, Govt of Tamil Nadu said, “HCC is one of the most prestigious chambers in the country and as you step into the 80th year, it’s time to start advising industry. We ask you to share your experience and amazing knowledge accumulated over the years. I love your Udhayam scheme.”
He added, “What makes TN special is the interplay between industries, institutions and policy. We ask you to engage in continued dialogue with the government. Go beyond automobiles, look at EVs, drones, ship building. R&D is something that the Government is keen on. Unbox young minds and unlock the future of TN industries.”
About HCC
Established in 1945, Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, and active on Social Media, it has around 1000 members across various segments spanning Trade & Industry. The main objective of the Chamber is to liaison with the State/Central Government, submit representations on all major common issues that impedes smooth running of businesses, and create awareness on Policies/Laws of the Government while enhancing the knowledge of members. The year marks a monumental milestone in the journey of the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate its 80 years of service, growth, and commitment to the business community.
The Chamber’s large membership comprises of industries, and MSMEs who are regularly updated through interactive seminars that are frequently conducted for the benefit of the members.
