In August 2025, six students from Tamil Nadu government schools became the first rural government school students from India to represent the nation at the 5th International Youth Forum at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok. Selected through a merit-based process and sponsored by GRT Hotels & Resorts, these students participated in global discussions on Quality Education, Climate Action, and Gender Equality, marking a historic milestone in educational equity and youth empowerment.
