Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, Mr. Saravana Kumar Kumaravasagam, visited Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions to strengthen India–Malaysia collaboration in higher education, student mobility, international internships and global career opportunities.
The visit builds on Chennais Amirta’s growing partnerships with Malaysian universities and industry, aimed at creating international pathways for students in hospitality and aviation.
Welcoming the Consul General, R. Boominathan, Chairman, Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions, highlighted the institution’s vision of integrating academic excellence with global industry exposure through strategic international collaborations.
A key highlight of the discussions was Chennais Amirta’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), signed with Mr. Isaac Mohan Raj, CEO, MAH. The partnership enables students to access structured internships, industry training and placement opportunities across Malaysia’s hospitality sector.
The institution has also partnered with Open University Malaysia (OUM) for Hotel Management education and UNICAM for Aviation education and training, further strengthening academic exchange and international learning opportunities.
