Dr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Hon’ble Minister for IT & Digital Services, Go TN Presided Over the UEF Trade Summit 2025 – “Unnatha Tamizhagam – 4TN for TN by 2047” & Unveiled the Crescent Startup Pavilion

The second day of the UEF Trade Summit 2025, part of the 3-day event from 12th-14th December at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai had as its Chief Guest, Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Hon’ble Minister for IT & Digital Services, GOTN.

 Addressing the gathering, he said, “Globally there has been a shift from globalisation to de-globalisation with the rise in bi-lateral agreements and so on. This offers great opportunities for India especially Tamil Nadu. The greatest strength of Tamil Nadu is the human capital which is very adaptable. It’s a state that welcomes all backgrounds and faiths to live together harmoniously and along with our human capital we can make a profound change. The concept of social justice here has proved to be an advantage. To achieve the target of ‘4Tn for TN’, there has to be a rethink of education, rise in bold ideas and conferences and conclaves with visionary thinkers who can drive it forward.”

Other prominent dignitaries included Mr. Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman as the International Guest of Honour and distinguished guests such as Mr. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (GOI) and Padma Shri Mecca Rafeeque Ahmed, Chairman, Farida Group.

The day also had Fireside Chats with Thought Leaders. There were a series of Panel Discussions with eminent panelists such as Dr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister for School Education, Go TN and were chaired by Mr. Ahmed Buhari, Founder – Coastal Energen, Coal & Oil Group, President, UEF, DR, Mr. Mohammed Ali, CMD – South India Shelters and Dr. Ajmal Dastagir, MD, Silk Trail Global Exports. The various sessions touched upon areas such as $4Tn for TN – dream or reality, reimagining education, opportunities and community contribution to the economy of TN.
