Grand Human Chain Marks the Conclusion: On the day of the campaign a grand human chain was organised against alcohol and drug abuse on Langs Garden Road, Egmore, Chennai.
People from various sections of society, including intellectuals, educationists, men, women and school and college students, participated in large numbers.
Participants carried awareness placards and raised slogans against alcohol and drug abuse. Through the messages displayed on the placards and their slogans, they expressed their strong opposition to substance abuse and their determination to protect the younger generation.
The participation of people from different sections of society and their united voice against drugs created a strong atmosphere of awareness in the area.
The human chain, highlighting the call for a “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu,” served as a united voice of the people against drug abuse and marked the significant conclusion of the 15-day awareness campaign.
The campaign highlighted that building a drug-free society cannot be achieved through government efforts alone. Parents, teachers, educational institutions, social organisations, youth and the general public must all work together.
The campaign concluded with a renewed call for sustained social awareness and preventive initiatives to protect the future of young people and build a healthy and drug-free Tamil Nadu
