SATHYABAMA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY) 35th CONVOCATION

The 35th Convocation of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology was held on July 11, 2026, in the Institution Auditorium, with the blessings of Founder Chancellor Honorable Dr. Jeppiaar. Hon’ble Minister Thiru Aadhav Arjuna, Minister for Public Works and Sports Development, Government of Tamilnadu was the Chief Guest and Hon’ble Minister Dr.N.Marie Wilson Minister for Finance, Pensions, Planning & Development. Government of Tamilnadu was the Guest of honor. Honorable Chancellor Dr. Mariazeena Johnson, presided over the convocation function in the presence of Dr. Marie Johnson. President, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology.

During this momentous occasion, a remarkable total of 4712 undergraduate students, 932 postgraduate students, and 116 Ph.D. scholars proudly received their degrees. Among these graduates, 55 exceptional students were recognized with gold medals, celebrating their exemplary academic performances and dedication to their studies.

Reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and career development, the Placement Cell of Sathyabama University has once again delivered exceptional placement outcomes during the academic year 2025–26. The University’s Campus Recruitment Program attracted participation from more than 450+ leading companies representing Information Technology, Core Engineering, Finance, Consulting, Analytics, and Research and offered 4002 Offers as on date in diverse roles. As a result, 93.12% of eligible students secured employment opportunities through campus placements.

The average annual salary package offered to students stood at ₹5.73 lakh, while Amazon offered the highest package of ₹41.20 lakh per annum. Reflecting the growing confidence of recruiters in the University’s talent pool, the number of Dream, Super Dream, and Elite offers has shown a consistent upward trend, with over 40% of the placed students securing offers in these prestigious categories.

Sathyabama continues to expand global academic pathways for its students, with 245 students have secured admission for master’s degree at leading Universities across the globe in USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Ireland, Netherland, Dubai, Taiwan, and France.
